DEC & EBG_Hi guys, now Development Education and Culture with Embargo Pioneer Study Club will present the paper about their discusion. The title is "Computer Crime" written by members of EBG. Please read our present and comment your arguments.

In many businesses, computers have largely replaced paper work, because they are fast, flexible, and do not make mistakes. Inlike human, computers never have a bad day and they are honest. Many transactions done are claimed safe and untouched by human hands. Obviously, computers have no conscience, and the growing number of computer crimes shows they can be used to steal.

Computer criminals don’t use guns. And even if they are caught, it is hard to punish, because there are no witnesses and often no evidence. A computer cannot remember who used it. It simply does what it told. The head teller at New York City Bank used computer to steal more than one and a half million dollars in just for years. No one noticed this theft because he moved money from one account to another.

Many computer criminals have been minor employees. An official in USA said that there is more crime out there than we are catching. He wonders what the real expert are doing the one’s who really know how a computer works.
